Serene Scenery

It's always lovely to receive a home made card, no matter what the occasion.  So it's great to be able to have a stash of cards on hand that could be used for male or female and then stamp on the sentiment to fit the occasion.

I decided today was the day to get my stash organised and was inspired by the beautiful sunny day and all the lovely water we have in our dams from the amazing rain we have had recently.  This led me to Stampin' UP!'s gorgeous 6 x 6 Serene Scenery Designer Series paper stack. I then added one of my go to stamp sets (Wetlands) and voila!  Easy peasy, but gorgeous card stash created in no time.

Making your own cards does not have to be difficult and this is an excellent example of how you can make a lovely card in literally 5 minutes.

Fairy Celebration

This weekend was all about me!  I was home alone and had plenty of time to do what I love best and that was to stamp.  One of the stamp sets I was dying to get my hands on, was Fairy Celebration.  It took me back to when my daughter was little and loved everything girly, including fairies.  One of the things that made making my batch of cards so easy, was the gorgeous Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper.   I think this DSP allowed my little fairy to come to life.  What do you think?    I also love the new bronze embossing powder to give my fairy a little sparkle.

Want to make this cute card yourself?   I have listed the products needed below.

Christmas in July

Hi Stampers! As Christmas is fast approaching and  is a very busy time of the year, it's always good to be super organised.  That's why having a Christmas in July class is great, as it starts to get everyone thinking about  Christmas and hopefully encouraging an early start to making their Christmas cards and gifts. So my class ladies got to use the gorgeous 'This Christmas' speciality Designer Series Paper to make their class projects on Sunday.
One of the class projects was this cute little Christmas tag using the Swirly Bird bundle.  It's always great being able to Bundle a stamp set and thinlets and Save 10% as well.   This tag came together, after I was inspired by a card I had seen by the very talented Claire Daly.   Don't you think the little birdy is just the cutest. The Swirly Bird bundle is so versatile, but if you would like to get started on making your own Christmas tags, I have added a product list below.   Look out for my future post with more Swirly Bird creations.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sitting Here

I have been missing in action from my blog for some time, so need to get 'back on the horse' and let you know what's happening in my Stampin' world.

After travelling Europe with my husband Kevin for nearly 7 seven weeks (April to June), I was so excited to get home and start creating with some of the gorgeous product from the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue in preparation for my catalogue launch.  It is always such an exciting time when that new catalogue is launched.  It doesn't matter how many times I look at it, I always see something different.

One of many of the new stamp sets available is 'Sitting Here'.  Sometimes it takes a little while for the creative juices to flow when using a new stamp set, but this design popped into my head and I am really happy with the way it turned out.  I had a courtyard in mind and created the brick wall background by using the Simply Scored tool.

Then I used stamps which could be used to create cushions, as wall art, by heat embossing with the gorgeous new copper embossing powder.

I completed the card with a little colouring with the Regals Stampin' Write Markers collection.  Who doesn't like colouring?
